With the Green Bay Packers on break until training camp and the personnel essentially frozen for the foreseeable future, The Leap will use this time to reveal its annual 90-man roster rankings.

Our methodology: We order the players based on ability relative to their respective positions rather than weighing the importance of those positions. Put another way, this exercise prioritizes the “best” players, not necessarily the ones who offer the most “value.” That means the starting quarterback doesn’t have to top the list because of the position he plays.

Each edition of the 90-man roster ranking will include a batch of roughly 10 players. Due to voting ties, some batches will feature slightly more or less.

Today’s slate features players who have traversable paths to jobs, albeit at the back of the roster. Others probably won’t push to make the 53, but they could convince the Packers to retain them on the practice squad following final cuts.

80. MJ Devonshire Jr.

Position: cornerback
How acquired: waiver claim from Buffalo Bills (2026)

Despite spending little time in Green Bay, MJ Devonshire Jr. has plenty of familiarity with the coaching staff. He spent the final stretch of last season with the Buffalo Bills, where Bobby Babich served as defensive coordinator. Babich joined the Packers in January, and when the Bills waived Devonshire in May, he soon reunited with his former coach as a waiver claim.

That dynamic doesn’t guarantee Devonshire a roster spot, but Babich presumably liked what he saw from the 5-foot-11, 186-pound cornerback in practice. Those observations effectively represent most of what the Packers know about Devonshire, who has yet to appear in a regular-season game.

T-78. Dillon Wade

Position: offensive lineman
How acquired: undrafted free agent (2026)

One of multiple UDFA offensive linemen who signed with the Packers in April, Dillon Wade spent his final three seasons playing for Auburn, a blue-chip college program. Over that period, he spent time at every position along the line except center. Though he started most of his career at left tackle, he eventually settled at left guard, making 12 starts there in 2025.

Between that versatility and Wade’s athleticism (9.22 Relative Athletic Score at guard, 8.40 at offensive tackle), he checks a lot of boxes for the Packers. They’ll presumably work him at guard when training camp arrives, though he could see action at tackle late in preseason games.

T-78. Dalton Cooper

Position: offensive lineman
How acquired: street free agent (2025)

After missing final cuts with the Kansas City Chiefs, Dalton Cooper joined Green Bay’s practice squad, where he spent the rest of his rookie season. The former undrafted free agent never received a game-day elevation, so the Packers have yet to see him in live game action of any kind.

Like any offensive lineman this far back in the pecking order, Cooper will have to do more than show promise at his main position. The Packers did use practice-squad elevations last year to bolster their special-teams units -- see Banks, Brant -- but Cooper never received that call. That suggests he has quite a ways to go before pushing for a spot on the 53-man roster.
