MORE: Trevor Lawrence sets up Jordan Love to reset the quarterback market in 2024
Trevor Lawrence just matched Joe Burrow for average annual value and that means a monster deal is coming for Jordan Love.
Over the last few weeks, The Leap published stories on why Jordan Love’s deal with the Green Bay Packers will have to break their molds, and what Love’s mega-deal means for team building in the future.
But we have more! The Leap's Peter Bukowski talked about Trevor Lawrence matching Joe Burrow’s top average annual salary value in his extension with the Jacksonville Jaguars. On Saturday, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported the Packers wanted a “cleaner situation” with Love than for Aaron Rodgers’ last top-of-market deal, which shouldn’t be all that difficult given the unique circumstances of that contract.
He predicts Love breaks Lawrence and Burrow’s mark for AAV, and resets the quarterback market.
