On Monday, the Green Bay Packers’ rookies will report to training camp, and the veterans will join them the next day. Public practices will directly follow, and the camp hype cycle will inevitably follow.

A lot will happen between the players arriving at 1265 Lombardi Ave. and the final cuts in September. Still, this moment provides a perfect opportunity to evaluate the roster and figure out who has the inside track to roster spots and key roles. A few things to note: Player order does not necessarily reflect the order of the depth chart. Those projected to begin the regular season on the physically unable to perform list do not count against the 53-man roster limit. Also, teams can place up to two players on injured reserve before final cutdowns and bring them back to the active roster during the same season.
