Quay Walker hoping time before camp brings confidence back after unsure spring start

If the version of Quay Walker coaches, players, and fans saw in the spring was a rookie linebacker looking for his confidence, opposing offenses better hope he never finds it. Walker, by his own admission, had his head spinning a bit through the rookie camp, OTAs, and minicamp, but he still found a way to make splash plays in practices, breaking up screen passes, flashing in coverage, and generally showing his athletic prowess. Producing despite not having a full grasp of the defense hints at a sky-high ceiling for the former Georgia Bulldog.

“I kind of lost my confidence when I first got here because I was kind of unsure what was going on,” Walker said after OTAs earlier in the week.
