Just over nine months ago, The Leap ranked all eight members of the Green Bay Packers’ 2025 draft class by potential for Year 1 impact. This exercise always comes with hurdles -- health chief among them -- but it also provides a useful snapshot of the rookies when they first arrive in Green Bay.

Now, at the conclusion of the 2025 season, we can look back at this time capsule and examine how the class performed relative to expectations and why certain players did or didn’t hit the mark. For this review, we’ll go through the rookies as originally ranked and do a final reorder based on how the year unfolded.

8. John Williams

Key line from April: “General manager Brian Gutekunst and his personnel department likely view Williams as a developmental piece who could easily spend the upcoming year on the practice squad.”

John Williams didn’t spend 2025 on the practice squad, but the project here essentially hit the mark. The rookie spent the season on the physically unable to perform list, never actually making an appearance on the 53-man roster. The Packers did get a 21-day preview in practice late in the year, and that could inform their decisions this offseason. At the very least, Williams should have a chance to compete for a backup spot in 2026.

7. Micah Robinson

Key line from April: “He’ll likely need to prove his worth on special teams -- and possibly beat out 2024 draft pick Kalen King -- to earn a roster spot.”

Neither Micah Robinson nor Kalen King distinguished himself during training camp. Both failed to survive final cuts in late August, though King went on to sign with the Arizona Cardinals’ practice squad while Robinson remained in Green Bay in a similar capacity. The Packers did elevate the rookie multiple times, though he didn’t play any snaps. Robinson eventually signed to the Tennessee Titans’ 53-man roster and saw some action.

Regardless, Robinson’s placement near the bottom of the Year 1 impact list seems fair given how little he affected Green Bay in 2025.
