I wouldn't mind a story, or mention, about James Campen. Given our (significant) troubles on the OL this year, was he an option to return to the Packers? He is held in very high regard by many of our past linemen. We've had quite a brain-drain this off-season, a familiar and successful face would have been most welcome.

As a peek behind the curtain here at Leap HQ, Peter and I discussed Campen near the end of the season as someone we should check in on with our contacts. We didn't hear anything definitive enough to report before he took his new job with the Steelers.

That doesn't mean the Packers couldn't still make some tweaks to the staff. However, they effectively had Campen in house (he served as a consultant with the personnel department over the past two years). If they wanted to install Campen as the O-line coach for 2026, they probably would have before Mike McCarthy came calling.
