Tucker Kraft has forced the Packers to rethink their offensive priorities
Tucker Kraft's emergence as a superstar doesn't just change the way the rest of the NFL views him. It also compels the Packers to reconsider his role in the offense.
The NFL no longer looks at Tucker Kraft quite the same way, not after what he did to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.
The Green Bay Packers’ star tight end put on a masterclass in front of a national audience. Kraft set new career highs in catches (seven) and receiving yards (143) while matching his previous top mark in touchdowns (two). He had more yardage than the Steelers’ top two receivers combined.
And the numbers alone don’t tell the full story. Kraft proved a pressure release valve whenever the Packers needed one. In the high red zone and facing a defense hellbent against giving up explosives? Kraft can take a short pass into the flat and turn it into a 16-yard touchdown. Backed up at your own 15-yard line on third down with a six-man blitz barreling down on the quarterback? Kraft can track down the ball and weight room through multiple tackle attempts for the longest gain of the night.
And all of that comes on top of his work in the ground game, such as his key block on the Packers’ longest run of the night.

Kraft had built toward the breakout performance, and not just over the course of 2025.
